When do vultures leave their nest?

Vultures typically leave their nests, or fledge, when they are about 10 to 12 weeks old, although this can vary by species. Before fledging, young vultures undergo a period of developing flight feathers and practicing their flight skills. Once they leave the nest, they continue to rely on their parents for food and guidance for some time before becoming fully independent.
