Should you use a flea shampoo to clean the carpet will it work for bed bugs?

It works for me! I clean all dogs, bedding ect. then vac the house. Then I put skip a flea shampoo in my carpet cleaner. My cleaner has an extra tank for soap and I only use less than a 1/8 c and fill with water. In three days repeat the dogs and carpet again.
