A good candidate would be athlete and powerlifter Jill Mills (born March 2, 1972). She currently holds several records in Weightlifting, and as late as 2004, she was declared "Strongest Woman Alive" in the competition in Riverside, California.

The winner of the title "World's Strongest Woman" in 2004 is Aneta Florczyk (born February 26, 1982), who succeeded Mills as the winner of the 2005, 2006, and 2008 IFSA competitions.

A third contender would be professional wrestler Becca Swanson, who has won several weightlifting competitions worldwide.
