Yeah, you can remove the turbos. Cars with blown turbos still drive but poorly. If you remove the turbos you'd have to spend a buttload on a 2.7 non-turbo exhaust manifold, exhaust downpiping as well as the intake manifold, as the intercooler (which I'm pretty sure it has) is hooked to. It would probably cost you $400+ just to do this, but you could get paid back by selling the 2 turbos (if there are 2) for $200/ea. You motor's compression is low so without the turbos your car will loose a 50-70hp, if not more. It's just not a smart way to go at all. You might as well sell the car and get a non-turbo model. Your turbo car is worth more than an n/a anyway. Hope this explains more than that previous dude said, "You can, but why would you?"
