Absolutely! Do you watch antiques road show? Some of the the artists making pottery back 50 years ago can be worth at least what a nice painting now a days cost. If people are willing to buy it and display it in their home its considered art. If in a few years its worth more than what you bought it for you can consider it a collectible.
