What is the size of a parrot?

Parrot species range quite a lot. The tiniest parrot is the buff-faced pygmy parrot, which is about 3 inches (8 cm) and native to New Guinea. The largest is the hyacinth macaw, native to South America, which can be 40 inches (1 meter) in length.
