Alaskan cruises are least expensive in May, when the season begins and in September, when the season ends.

Remember there's a reason the pricing is lower -- the weather is a bit cooler than during the summer. There are also slightly fewer ships and fewer tourists, so it's a good time to travel, just bring sweaters and a rain coat.
