Is Finding dead birds in your backyard a bad omen?

I consider seeing a dead bird, or crossing paths with a dead bird as a bad omen for sure.

I've had a terrible last couple months, and I've also seen more dead birds this summer than I've ever seen in my whole life.

I was working on a movie set when I saw the first one... a week later I lost my job. Then my apartment flooded in the floods of 08 here in the Midwest and I was forced to move, then my fiancee went to the hospital and stayed for a week due to a serious head injury.

I'm working right now, and I just went out for a cigarette... and bam, dead bird, right on the sidewalk. Maybe I'm paranoid, maybe I'm superstitious, maybe I just have really bad luck, but I strongly believe that dead birds are a bad omen.
