What are the elements of short story?

1- Setting : where and when the story takes place.

2- Characters : who is there to talk about or who is talking ( main and minor characters ) . could be protagonist (hero ) or antagonist (evil ) .How they look like in appearance & in behaviour or personality.

3 - plot : what is happening. This includes the Theme. the author's message, or what he/she wants to say about life or people .Also the Climax :it is the rising point of all actions. -And the Conflict: the struggle against odds or obstacles preventing characters from reaching the goal .

4 - conclusion the ending of the story. Some authors choose to leave the ending open and without being solved for more enticement .

the 4 element of novel are as follow:

1.plot.(beginning,events,rising action,conflict,climax,falling action,and resolution)

2.setting(time,place)

3.theme

4.characters(major minor or primary secondary tertiary.also dynamic and static)
