The water water pump in my Peugeot 107 has packed in year 2006 is this common on this car?

I can confirm that this is a very common problem with this car! I have a 2005 Peugeot 107, and recently heard what sounded like a rattling noise coming from the engine. Turns out my water pump was knackered and costs about 140 quid to replace. However, the garage told me it would take two weeks to replace the part as there was a backlog of orders for that particular part - when I rang three Peugeot dealerships to confirm, they said the problem is that common they often run out!

Hope yours was fixed quicker than mine ...
