How does inside your knee look?

The inside of your knee joint features several key structures, including the femur (thigh bone), tibia (shin bone), and patella (kneecap). Between the femur and tibia are two crescent-shaped cartilage pads called menisci, which act as shock absorbers. Ligaments, such as the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments (ACL and PCL), provide stability, while synovial fluid lubricates the joint. The overall design allows for a wide range of motion while maintaining support and stability.
