Best to wait I would say to wait until the day you are expecting your period before taking a HPT. If that is negative and you don't get your period, wait two days and try again. I tested on the day that I was supposed to get my period and got the faintest of faint lines. If you test and it's negative, don't get discouraged! It's not over until AF rears her ugly head!!
