The Arabian, one of the oldest domestic breeds, is a beautiful but 'hot blooded' breed whereas the Draft breeds, of which there a many, are calm and large and considered 'cold blooded' breeds. The difference between cold and hot blooded is big. Arabs have a fiery temperment, and the tend to be spooky, or they spook or scare easily. On the other hand, the draft breeds a large but gentle giants. They are wonderful to pull carriages because they don't spook very easily at all. They are safe, quiet horses unless they accidently step on your foot. These horses can weigh double of what an Arabian horse can weigh.
