How does a mamba adapt to its change of temperature?

Mambas, like other reptiles, are ectothermic, meaning they rely on external environmental temperatures to regulate their body heat. When temperatures drop, they seek out warmer areas, such as sunlit rocks or open ground, to bask and raise their body temperature. Conversely, in hot conditions, they may retreat to shaded areas or burrows to avoid overheating. Additionally, mambas can adjust their activity levels based on temperature, becoming less active during extreme heat to conserve energy.
