It doesn't have to be exact, you just have to close. Anywhere from .02 to .025 inches is fine. The BR8ES is actually available in two versions. One has a screw-on terminal and a larger gap. The other has a solid, non-removable terminal and a smaller gap.

If you can find the solid terminal version, stock number 3961, that's preferred. You won't have to worry about the terminal coming loose and the gap will only need to be adjusted slightly.
