What is the difference between a normal hospital and a university medical center?

'Normal' hospitals are strictly for-profit, and do not focus on teaching. University medical centers, on the other hand, focus on teaching. They have residents and interns with the latest information available about new techniques, but they lack the real-world experience of practicing medical professionals.
