How do you open the hood of a 2001 Mercedes S500?

== == Open the driver's door. Immediately below the A pillar, just forward of the door opening, up and on the left side interior panel is a black lever hinged at the top. Pull the bottom of the lever toward you and you will feel and hear the cable pull, and release the hood.

Step to the front of the car. There will be a small black plastic "T" sticking its head out through the grill. Pull this handle out farther while lifting up on the hood and it will open free.
