It is possible to be that lean, but maintaining it is extremely difficult; between just 5 to 7% bodyfat, the individual begins to crave carbohydrates just to be able to function. The sad truth is, for a man to be healthy, they need to be at roughly between 8 - 12% depending on build, and for women it is between 15 - 25% again depending on build. Drop to 2% fat, and you are looking at an individual who will consume bowl after bowl of pasta, just to keep their body running; if body fat drops too much it can lead to fatigue, irritability, even impotence in men.
