How do you save a horse from slaughter?

There are many sites available, you can simply google 'Stop Horse Slaughter' and take your pick of sites. Horse Slaughter in most places is cruel and having it around gives breeders an 'out' for overproducing too many foals, like the American Quarter Horse Association. They over breed on an appalling scale. The best way to 'dispose' of unwanted horses is to simply have them put to sleep and if you have no where to bury the body or money to cremate it you can have the body hauled off or donate it to a veterinarian college for science.
