How do you send to a PO box?

Mail can usually be sent to a PO box just like a street address. Use the following format in the address:

John Q. Public

P.O. Box 1

Main St, PA 00000

Packages can also be sent to P.O. boxes; the post office will hold the box for them and place a paper in their box telling them to pick it up. The only mail that cannot be sent to a PO box is one that requires a signature on receipt.
