How do you earn money on powerpets?

There are several ways to earn money on PowerPets. The first is to take advantage of the freebies - Padam's Shack, the Northern Woods, Kyla's Perch (on hold August-October 2011 due to a mini-plot) and Tux Luck (a game). Also, new accounts can go Dumpster Diving in Badgeria.

Second, you can open a shop and sell items for a profit. The two main categories of this are to purchase items at wholesale in the various outlet shops (such as Book Haven or Mr. Medic) then put them into your shop and sell them. The other main category is to complete quests (such as Creepy Caves or Dark Guardian) then sell the item you get from completing the quest. The first is easier and cheaper to do, but the profit margin tends to be low. The second is more difficult, but the profit margin is much higher, often 100% or better.

Third, you can play games in Norcadia. Each game has a maximum payout and you can cash out each game five times a day. While this takes time, you can accumulate hundreds of thousands of PowerBucks every day with no investment. The bonus to this is to accept challenges from Herman Howler (up to 12 a day for non-members, 20 a day for members), then play the game and beat Herman's score. This way, you get the PBs from cashing out a game, the Mega Money Madness entry (if you were above the minimum requirement) and a Jungle Puzzle Piece from Herman to sell or collect.
