How do you fix a trunk door that will not open on a 2000 GMC Jimmy SLS?

if you here it clicking its not the wiring,fuse,switch or rear latch. There is a plastic arm at latch,it broke on mine.You have to remove back panel to replace it.dealer will remove for you. I cut a hole and covered it with a plate for future access.
