Yes, The Moorings, in the hamlet of East Islip, New York is in the Town of Islip. The Moorings is a guard-gated luxury community built on the former H. B. Hollins' estate known as Meadowfarm. Meadowfarm was last owned by Charles Lanier Lawrence and sometime after his death was bought by developer William Miller. The manor house on 15 acres remained and the rest of the landscaped acres and wetlands were transformed into acre minimum lots for estates.
