It features an elderly woman seated at a table praying over a bible; a pitcher and plate of cheese and bread are in the background. The photograph was intended to match a 1918 photograph of an old man praying at a table called Grace by Eric Enstrom, and subsequently they have often been packaged together as a "Grace and Gratitude" diptych. The photograph's model was Mrs. Myrtle Copple, who died in 1975.
