How can I tell if my platys are pregnant?

Female platy fish have a gravid spot near their anal fin that darkens as they become pregnant. Additionally, pregnant platys may appear larger and rounder in the abdomen area. You may also notice behavioral changes such as increased hiding or aggression from other fish in the tank. Finally, observing the mating behavior between male and female platys can also indicate potential pregnancy.
