What is the wind and a boy by Bessie head about?

It is a short story about a well respected grandmother who was left with her daughters son, to raise in a small rural village, because her mother wanted to continue working and could not take care of the kid.

There is a very unforchunate ending its an extremly interesting short story i recommend you read it, it is based on the begining of the independence.
