What does tensa mean in Japanese?

Tensa means; in the Japanese language, heavenly chain. it was used previously in the anime: Bleach, by Tite Kubo. the Tensa Zangetsu is, main character Ichigo Kurisaki's bankai. i myself am a huge bleach fan and am still interested in what ichigo can accomplish.
