How are Tom and Boo like the mockingbirds that Atticus talked about in the beginning of To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee?

Tom Robinson and Boo Radley can be seen as like the mockingbirds that Atticus speaks of in "To Kill a Mockingbird" because they are both innocent individuals who are unfairly judged and misunderstood by society. Tom is falsely accused and convicted of a crime he did not commit, while Boo is also unfairly judged and isolated by the community despite his kind nature. Just like the mockingbirds, both Tom and Boo are victims of prejudice and cruelty.
