What inspired him R L Stine?

Many things inspire R.L. stine. For example, one of his famous series is the Nightmare Hour; he writes all of those books at midnight. He claims that this is the time where he writes best. Though Stine's books are all deadly scary, some of his books that were designed for younger readers aren't as bad. R.L. Stine's Goosebumps series was later turned into a TV show that is based on his books.
