What does golden dragon tattoo mean?

Sailors who cross the International Date Line and go through an initiation ceremony called "Crossing the Line" become members of the fraternal organization known as the "Order of the Golden Dragon," similar to the "Ancient Order of the Deep" (more commonly referred to as "Trusty Shellbacks") who have crossed the Equator.
