How has the relationships between people and animals changed over time?

It is impossible to say how relationships between people and humans have changed because some people do something to animals called animal cruelty and yes some people give some animals respect or rewards for how they help us every day,or teach us.Its unknown how we treat each other but someday we might all be one big family in the future.
