Why does my lexmark printer 1200 power light blink?

It may be blinking because it is on standby, if that's not the case check it for jammed paper.

You may cant to cancel all current print jobs and then turn off and turn on the printer and try again.

There is another cause of the blinking light, if you purchased a new catridge recently make sure you buy black & colour, and not just the one! even if theres colour left in the old one some printers you must replace both in order to work. Or it could be driver compatible errors. Try downloading the latest drivers from the manafacture's site. hope this helps.
