Is there a mythical whale called the Ancient mother or the White mother?

Perhaps this is a native American ( Inuit or Eskimo tribal) name for the Beluga, or white whale which is a recognized species, not a mutant or albino. F9or many years they had several in the New York Aquarium at Coney Island.
