How are red Andy introduced in shawshank redemption?

Exactly as they are in the movie, there are almost no differences between the book and movie. Andy introduces himself to Red in the exercise recess yard and understands Red is a man who knows how to get things, and Red concurs that he has been known to "procure various and sundry items" from time to time, and they build their relationship from there.
