What year did Persia stop being a country?

Persia officially ceased to exist as a country in 1935 when Reza Shah Pahlavi requested that the international community refer to the country as Iran, reflecting its historical name. However, Persia had been gradually losing its identity and influence much earlier, particularly following the fall of the Qajar dynasty in the early 20th century and the establishment of the Pahlavi dynasty.
