How does the tail helps the cheetah to run fast?

A cheetahs tail has lots of muscles that helps it balance while its running. It is also connected to its spine to help it balance. When you see a cheetah run, you can see its tail moving around in a circle. Many other animals use their tails to balance.

Also, when a cheetah failed to catch something, it flicks its tail up to admit defeat.
