Is it normal for a wasp sting to bruise?

I can't answer definitively if it is normal, but I can tell you my experience. I just got stung 7 times a few days ago. This was the first time in my life I had an allergic reaction to a wasp sting. My hand swelled rather severely from two stings on a finger. The other 5 were in my thigh. Three of them left bruises. First time for that as well. Possibly the two are related. I suspect if it swells enough, it could cause bruising.
