Bobcats are generally solitary animals and do not form long-term pair bonds with mates. They typically come together only during the breeding season, which occurs from late winter to early spring. After mating, the male and female separate, and the female raises the kittens alone. While they may share overlapping territories, bobcats do not exhibit social structures like those found in pack animals.
