Yes, there are parts of China that eat dogs. Dog eating is generally regionally restricted to several parts of China, such as Guangdong and some Northern provinces. However, this is falling out of practise because an increasing amount of Chinese see dogs solely as pets.

Dog meat, on the other hand, is illegal in Hong Kong, and is heavily punishable.
