Why are the wipers are staying on when they are at off position Nissan almera tino 2004?

i had a customer in yesterday with this fault and had a spare wiper switch so i fitted it and still no change so i pulled out the wiper motor and opened the plastic electric circuit on the top of it and found that the cancellation finger on the board was broken off so i soldered it back on and tested it and all settings worked .

its an easy job if your mechanically minded and if not bring it to a local lad and should only cost 40-50 euro.
