There is a plate that can be removed by hand in the corner. The backup light is deep inside and hard to reach if you have big hands (I could not get my thumb near it). I used a flat needle nose to turn the bulb enclosure (quarter counter clockwise turn). The bulb slides out and the new one goes in the same way. I needed the wrench to put the enclosure back in its slot. Small clockwise turn and it is back in place. You can leave it hanging in the storage area and see if it lights from the driver's seat before putting it back if you are alone and don't want to have to start over. On a one to ten it is about a two.
