How do you change the water pump on a 89 olds Calais with quad 4 motor?

To change the water pump on a 1989 Oldsmobile Calais with a Quad 4 motor, first disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner, then drain the coolant from the radiator. Unbolt the water pump from the engine block, clean the surface, and install the new pump with a new gasket. Reassemble everything in reverse order, refill the coolant, and reattach the battery terminal.
