The average cost of childbirth in 1960?

My mother once told me , I cost her and my father ten dollars to deliver me . The year was nineteen sixty and the hospital was then a state hospital . The cost was based on income and the hospital was staffed by medical students . It would be my guess , the doctor that delivered me was a resident doctor .
