How do you hatch the first egg in Pokemon pearl?

you'd better have a trained pachirisu cause you'll have to move your Pokemon party box put the egg in the front of the Pokemon party box then put the trained pachrisu next to the egg then make adventure on your own fighting with the trained pachirisu. You have to take the adventure for a long time. Good Luck!
