What is the Welsh for sweetheart?

It's not often that 'sweetheart' is said. Usually it's 'my love' which is 'fy nghariad' [ff-ung-Harry-add]
Cariad. It's root (caru) means to love and it is a general term of endearment used for sweethearts or even for children.
