Is a polar bear a monotreme?

No; a polar bear is not a monotreme. A monotreme is a mammal which lays eggs. Polar bears do not lay eggs, but give birth to live young.

There are only three monotremes: the platypus, the short-beaked echidna and the long-beaked echidna.
