White tigers are not a distinct species but rather a color variant of Bengal tigers. They can reach speeds of up to 30 miles per hour (48 kilometers per hour) in short bursts. However, they are not built for sustained high-speed chases, as they rely more on stealth and strength for hunting. Lions, on the other hand, can reach speeds of about 50 miles per hour (80 kilometers per hour) in short sprints.
