A tough bird question , Great! :)
90-95 degrees during the first week. Reduce the temp 5 degrees each week after until you reach room temp.
If they are from outside and it is cold do not immediately put them in that heat. Room temp is fine, raise the room temp to about 75-80 gradually.
Also NEVER put ANY KIND OF new born animals under a heat lamp. Not kittens, not puppies, not birds. They have breeder boxes for chicks, put the lamp under it (5-10 inches) and make sure you check the temp in the box. If you put your hand under the box and it burns it is too close.
Also make sure that you change the paper towels frequently (daily) it can get messy in there.
Taking on a big responsibility. My hats off to you! Great person!
