Today Computers are used in almost every field. Whether we want to book tickets, maintain accounts or communicate with each other, computers are there to answer are every need. The question we are addressing today is-Should computers replace human beings as teachers too? My opinion is-yes they should. Not only can they do the work of a teacher but they can do it better too. In class students are often distracted by frivolities and levities. These things tend to become so important to some pupils that they lose focus on the topic that is being taught. With computers taking the role of teachers, the students will no longer have any such distraction and will be able concentrate on the subject.
The information a teacher can give may be limited whereas computers can provide information to a much larger extent. Children today are increasingly relying on computers for research and complete knowledge on any topic. Computers should replace teachers as they give complete and correct knowledge and the most updated ones. Therefore computer knowledge is an assimilation of knowledge of more than one teacher.
Another advantage of a computer teacher is that there is no possibility of a computer favoring a student over another. Discouragement and neglect will not make poor scorers of children as it so happens that many students depend greatly on the support and encouragement of their teacher. We have also observed that children have different intellectual abilities and it is through computers that they learn without being reprimanded or made to feel any less than another bright child.
It may be noted that many teachers do not want to go to remote areas or villages to educate children. Computers can very easily reach out to many more such areas.
We have also seen that trainers are either not easily accessible or are far too expensive. Therefore the advent of computer games such as Nintendo enables each and every person to receive training at home and may work out to be less expensive. We have seen that playing with computers have taken children by a storm. Thus, if given the chance, computers would definitely help students to gain knowledge.
Many organizations are selling online courses and instructions. These courses have received an immense response from students world over. This effectively reduces the number of teachers required to teach a large multitude of people.
Computers provide different views on one topic from all over the world. Thus it not rigid and it brightens the student's mind with different points of view.
A computer can memorize anything effortlessly whereas a teacher may find this rather problematic. As a result evaluation will also be faster.
