My sims 2 crashes all the time when i have finished making my family so i cant go on sims lately without it freezing i have recently got a new laptop windowsvista could this be why?

I don't think so because i have a Windows vista laptop to and it works fine mable you have to much data stored on your laptop but I'm not sure.
